Habitat Creation, Restoration and Management Planning
Detailed plans to ensure that you get the best out of your wild space
I will provide you with the advice to suit your needs. Whether you are creating new habitat for mitigation, providing green infrastructure, improving a habitat or managing a nature reserve, your plans will be structured, clear and concise.
I have written and contributed to the production of many habitat management plans: for whole farms, closed landfill restoration, green infrastructure for new development. I can provide GIS mapping and comprehensive advice to suit your requirements.

Project Management
Making the right decisions for you
From the conception of your project through its delivery and to evaluation, I will ensure that it is completed on time and to budget, with the very best outcomes.
I have managed projects of all shapes and sizes, from multi-million pound, landscape-scale habitat restoration to the introduction of conservation grazing on sites with high levels of public access.

Consultations and problem solving
Working it out with people
If you are not sure how to deliver your vision, or you need to find a win-win solution, I will help you to identify the stakeholders that you need to speak to and facilitate your consultation sessions in order to reach a consensus.
I have led consultations before fencing common land for conservation grazing, introduced controversial habitat management regimes on sensitive sites and overcome seemingly intractable problems to deliver the best results for wildlife and people.

Training, facilitating and public speaking
Sharing knowledge
Are you looking to upskill your volunteers or your workforce?
I will plan, administrate and deliver a training course to meet the needs aspirations of your your organisation.
For example, field survey techniques to enable you to monitor your land efficiently, up-to-date, best-practise habitat management and restoration, or an introduction to QGIS.
I have led training sessions on behalf of CIEEM, National Trust and BBOWT, and I would like to help you with you training needs.
I will also speak with passion and knowledge at conferences and seminars about nature conservation and habitat management.

Photography, design and writing
Expertly creative
Whatever your creative need, I can provide an ecological point of view to enlighten and entertain your audience. If you would like something written on the wildlife topic of the day I will provide what you need.
I have written for a host of publications, including leading articles for the Conservation Land Management journal and press releases, provided photographs for coffee-table books and spoken to audiences on all sorts of topics.

Ecological survey and monitoring
Systematic recording of your wildlife
Whether you are looking to apply for a grant, you're embarking on a habitat restoration project, or you'd like to know the value of your land for wildlife, ecological monitoring is crucial.
I can design and deliver a monitoring strategy to suit your requirements. I will identify suitable indicator species, determine an achievable and effective timetable, and train you and your team to undertake the surveys.
